Design Challenges

Looking to flex your engineering and design skills, and develop an assistive device from scratch? Look no further with Design Challenges!
Volunteers collaborate directly with the person who submitted the Design Challenge to turn their idea into a functional solution. The process is completely self-directed, giving you the freedom to protype, iterate, and build at your own pace.

Step 1: Create an Account

Sign up for a Makers Making Change account.

Step 2: Browse Design Challenges

Go to the Design Challenges page and browse through posted challenges.

Step 3: Join a Challenge

When you’ve identified a challenge that interests you, select “Join Design Challenge.” After you join, the challenge creator will be notified, and you’ll receive updates whenever new messages are posted.
Note: A single challenge may have multiple volunteers participating.
