Description

All portable bidets on the market that I have found require someone to put the device in place, hold it there, and then use that same hand to activate the on/off switch. For clients with reduced hand function (sensory and squeeze and reach) this limits their ability to clean themselves when out in public. This could be solved either by having a portable electric bidet that could be equipped with a delayed-start so that they could use their good arm and/or use their eyes to activate the switch and then have time to put it in the right place, or this could be solved by having an extension so that it could be activated using the other hand once they are holding it in place. Here is a link to a possible product that could be altered. The client I am thinking of (I am an OT) needs a relatively long handle to make up for limitations in reach.
