Interact/MMC60 switch hybrid

We have a client who finds the Interact switch flimsy but likes the ruggedness of the MMC60 but finds the MMC60 too tall.

Description
While delivering an order to a client, she asked if there were alternates to Interact switches. Some of her patients (kids) lack fine motor skills and wind up damaging the Interact switches by pressing on them too hard. I suggested a MMC60 switch as an alternative. She has tried one but found it to be too tall for her application. It seems a hybrid approach would solve the problem - the low profile of the Interact with the ruggedness of the MMC60 would solve the issue. As a novice 3D printer, I lack the skill to modify both designs into one. I am available to assist in design, prototype building and testing if required. Thanks for your consideration.
