Overview

Flipper the clipper is an assistive device for one handed nail clipping. This 3D printed devices folds flat and can be easily flipped opened to hold a standard nail clipper, making trimming nails easy and strain free. See the device in action.

How To Use

To use this device, first place a nail clipper onto the device notches. Hold the rounded end of device and lift it off the table surface. This will cause the device to “flip.” Rest the device on a flat surface and press down on the device to clip.

This assistive device was designed for users with spinal cord injury and other disabilities that effect hand dexterity and strength. It can also assist hemiplegics and stroke patients with one handed nail clipping.
