Device Information

Overview

The switch-adapted Kid Connection Walking Pet toy can be controlled with assistive switches through 3.5 mm mono jacks. There are two controls for the toy: one that controls the toy walking and making sound; and one that controls the toy making sound and wagging its tail.

This device is part of our collection of adapted toys. This means the toys are made more accessible by adding assistive switch inputs.

How To Use

Connect an assistive switch with a 3.5 mm mono plug to each of the 3.5 mm mono jacks located in the leash handle on the toy. The toy will start walking and making noise when one switch is activated, and stop when it is activated again. The other switch will start the toy wagging its tail and making noise, then stop when the switch is activated again.

You may also use only one switch at a time instead of having switch access to both controls if you choose.

Disability Type Description

This adapted toy may be suitable for individuals with physical or developmental disabilities who are unable to activate small buttons on standard toys. It supports users who rely on one or two assistive switches due to limited fine motor control, strength, or coordination.

Switch-adapted toys can promote independent play, cause-and-effect learning, and accessible engagement for children and adults who use switch-based access methods.
