Touchpad Joystick
For gamers who need a low-force, external joystick for adaptive gaming, the Touchpad Joystick is a small, low-cost, touch-sensitive joystick that can be used with the Xbox Adaptive Controller.
Device Information
Overview
This is a touch sensitive joystick designed be Ron Nelson intended to be used with the Xbox Adaptive Controller (XAC). This device is a more affordable option to many commercial joysticks and trackpads on the market. This is a USB joystick that can be plugged into either the left, or right USB joystick of the XAC.
How To Use
To use this joystick, simply plug the USB cable into either the right or left USB joystick inputs on the XAC. The forward direction is in the same direction the USB cable exits from the joystick. Touching the trackpad in any of the directions outside of the center will move the joystick in that direction. Sliding you finger to the center point, or releasing your finger from the joystick will return the joystick to a neutral position.
Disability Type Description
This device is designed for users with a small range of motion and low force capabilities that need an external joystick for adaptive gaming, such as with the Xbox Adaptive Controller.
